Al Habtoor Motors launches the much awaited 2016 Mitsubishi L200 pick up in the UAE

Al Habtoor Motors, the official dealer of Mitsubishi in the UAE, recently launched the much awaited  all-new L200 pick-up in the Mitsubishi Showroom at Sheikh Zayed Road on 20th May 2015.

The Double and Single Cab versions of the new L200 were unveiled by Mr. Karl Hamer, Managing Director Al Habtoor Motors in the presence of guests and senior management.

A stylish show of strength, the all new L200 packs more power, agile handling and a new level of comfort in an entirely new class of vehicle.

The all new Mitsubishi L200 is all truck in its build and all car in the comfort it offers. Featuring class-leading space and leg room, the L200 Double Cab offers a pleasurable journey. From the luxurious new front seats and high-quality rear seats to the convenient amenities and quiet, insulated ride, the L200 makes travelling a joy for all occupants.

Built for maximum stability and traction, its rugged frame contributes to solid handling and its body is aerodynamically contoured for stable highway performance. Reliable 4WD traction combines with an advanced suspension to keep the driver in touch with surface conditions to stay in firm control.

A unique feature of the new L200 is that the driver can switch from smooth 2WD (2H) highway performance to rugged 4WD (4H) traction while driving at up to 100km/h. The driver can transfer torque to all four wheels with a flick of the drive mode selector dial in the 4H mode or by entering the 4L mode, which provides lower gear ratios and higher torque for slower speed driving in rough terrain.

The L200’s rugged suspension features double wishbones with coil springs and a stabilizer bar in front, plus no-nonsense above-the-axle leaf springs in the rear for outstanding traction. The ride is stable and comfortable for all occupants. The body is extremely sturdy and lightweight, thanks to the generous use of high tensile strength steel plates that also contribute to a high level of collision safety.

The new L200 is streamlined based on advanced computer simulation to slip through the wind with a class-leading wind drag coefficient that lowers noise and raises fuel efficiency while enhancing both acceleration and handling stability.

The New muscular L200 is built strong to handle brutal work conditions and thanks to its reinforced cargo bed offering generous storage space, it makes a perfect pick-up for demanding work scenarios. Apart from hard work on weekdays, the L200 is built tough for weekend adventures both on and off the road.

When it comes to power, the new L200 comes in Petrol and Diesel versions. Its 2.5-liter 16-valve Intercooled Turbocharged DOHC Common Rail DI-D High Power turbocharged diesel engine, includes, three models with intercoolers, that deliver a spirited response. Their common rail direct injection system optimizes fuel dispersion for peak efficiency, low emissions and power on demand.

The DOHC 16-valve layout features dual overhead camshafts and 16 cylinder valves that deliver extremely high performance by optimizing fuel intake, combustion and exhaust.

To enjoy driving ease without sacrificing sportiness, the L200 comes with a smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic transmission. Its Sports Mode lets the driver shift up or down with a flick of the lever for sporty, manual-like driving pleasure.

And for a feeling of total control that many enthusiasts demand, the L200 also comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. Its solid stick shift provides smooth, sure operation that inspires confidence and intuitively coaxes out maximum performance.
