Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute signs a cooperation agreement with Al Habtoor Motors
“The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute is committed to developing human resources and providing qualified professionals capable of leading all vital sectors in the UAE,” said H.E. Dr Abdulrahman Jassim Al Hammadi, Managing Director, of the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute.
Dr. Al Hammadi confirmed that the signing of the agreement is part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts towards creating opportunities for developing vocational education and training programs through partnership based joint strategies in the country. The new agreement contributes to opening new horizons of strategic cooperation with Al Habtoor Motors, a pioneer in automotive sector of the UAE.
Based on the agreement, ADVETI has launched specialized engineering training programs in accordance with the needs of Al Habtoor Motors. The programs aim to raise the efficiency of graduated technicians to provide world class services in the automotive sector according to the best modern practices. The institute also follows up the progress of the specific study and training plan which students have to complete before their graduation with a special focus on technical expertise.
Dr. Saleh Al-Shuli, Technical and Training Director, emphasized that “Al Habtoor Motors is committed to helping young Emirati technicians to qualify, empowering the national cadres by developing their skills and practical experiences related to the job market. The agreement will further strengthen relations with the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute as a major provider of skilled technicians in the UAE”.
“Al Habtoor Motors trains technical students for all levels up to the Technical Master at the Technical Training Center in Dubai, ” he added. Al Habtoor Motors, part of the Al Habtoor Group, is implementing the vision of Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group in building the capabilities of human capital in the UAE. Mr. Ahmed Khalaf Al Habtoor, CEO of Al Habtoor Motors, was equally keen to provide training and jobs for Emirati cadres in the different branches of the Al Habtoor Motors across all Emirates in the UAE.
According to the agreement, the two entities will work to define practical training for the students of ADVETI at Al Habtoor Motors, and later would employ the students after graduation based on the needs of the company. Al Habtoor Motors will provide financial rewards for outstanding students during the practical training period.
Al Habtoor Motors and ADVETI will work to develop a strategic plan that will enables them to design programs for emerging competencies. Periodically impact of this cooperation will be studied to fine tune and amend future cooperation horizons. A working group has been appointed to follow up and propose solutions to ensure the proper implementation of the agreement.
