In coordination with the Competition & Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Economy, Al Habtoor Motors announces a Recall Campaign for a limited number of Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles with the below details which will be effective immediately.

Al Habtoor Motors Co. LLC, the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in the UAE, has released the following statement:

Description of the issue:
The anti-rust coating (Fluorine) of the ramp shaft for rear parking brake may peel off by assembly variation. Water might penetrate inside and rust the shaft. As the result of continuous use, the rust will erode into the internal caliper and the shaft becomes stuck, causing the parking brake force to decrease. In the worst case scenario, the parked vehicle may move.

Cause:
Improper anti-rust coating of the shaft and improper sealing performance.

All repairs related to this recall campaign will be completed free of charge for the customer.
A total of 265 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV's of model year 16 MY with Model Code Outlander (GFOW) are affected in Dubai/Northern Emirates/Abu Dhabi/Al Ain.

No other vehicles are affected.

In the interests of delivering the highest standards of Mitsubishi quality and customer care, Al Habtoor Motors LLC (Dubai, Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) will contact all customers with the affected models to arrange for the repairs to be carried out.
