In the affected vehicles, due to lack of rust prevention, oil forms lumps/sludge on the coupling flange of the propeller shaft and bolt seating surface, this leads to torque relaxation and bolts failure. As a result, the propeller shaft may get detached and fall off (in the worst-case scenario).

It is expected that this service campaign will include 50 units in the United Arab Emirates.

In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Mitsubishi FUSO Truck and Bus Corporation quality and customer care, Al Habtoor Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to Inform them about this recall campaign and request that they bring-in their vehicles for necessary rectification.

This recall action to clean the “Blue colored rust preventive oil” in all propeller shaft flange serration & bolt seating surface and replace the propeller shaft mounting fasteners, will be free of charge.

Every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out.
