Al Habtoor Motors brings 'Destiny in the Desert II' - the high octane Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Championship

In keeping with the sporting spirit of the UAE, Al Habtoor Motors will be co hosting 'Destiny in the Desert II' Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Championship attended by some of the world's most renowned sportsmen. A press conference was held at Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa to announce the event.

The conference was attended by Mr. Ahmed Al Habtoor - Al Habtoor Motors, Mr. Mansoor Al Habtoor - Al Habtoor Valtrans, Mr. Jessie Robinson - CEO and Mr. Eisa Aldah - Chairman of EMD Sports Services and Mr. Shannon Briggs, the famous heavyweight boxer and actor from the USA.

During the session, Shannon Briggs announced his participation in the Mega Boxing Event scheduled for early 2013. Shannon Briggs holds the record of the most number of 1st round knockouts in the history of boxing and is the last American to hold a world heavyweight title.

'Destiny in the Desert II' is scheduled to take place at Dubai World Trade Center on the 15th of June 2012. It is an extension of the highly successful first event - 'Destiny in the Desert I' that took place in 2007.

The highlight of this year's event is the participation of Eisa Aldah from the UAE, also known as 'The Arabian Warrior' with an impressive professional boxing record at the highest level with nine wins out of eleven fights with four knockouts. During this year's event he will try to improve his victory to 10 wins before going in for the world title in 2013. With a UAE sportsman taking part as a boxing contender, he could be the world champion in the near future. It's the right time for the sports lovers in the UAE to attend the exciting bouts and to support their very own champ - Eisa Aldah.

The other bouts during the championship will have boxers looking forward to enhance their record for the title of 'Middle East International Boxing Association' IBA. This will serve as an elimination bout to final fight of 70kg Category. The female boxers will fight in two elimination rounds for the 68 kg Category.
